# Hours Per Week: 40-55 Hrs.

Average Work Schedule: 

6 AM - 2:30 PM from Monday to Friday with possible overtime after the shift and/or on Saturdays depending on work needs.

Job Summary:

At Lucchese Bootmaker, craftsmanship defines our brand. The returns clerk plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and accurate processing of retuned merchandise, helping maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting returned goods, verifying return authorization, and coordinating with inventory, quality control, and customer service to resolve issues promptly.

Scope of Job:

A Repair/Returns Clerk is responsible for managing product returns, ensuring accurate processing, and maintain customer satisfaction through effective communication and organization. This includes inspecting returned items, verifying their conditions, and determining eligibility for refunds or exchanges based on company policies. Making sure the boots make it out on time before deadlines are met or any merchandise.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Repairs Clerk Operator will perform the following operations on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities may be modified to meet business needs:

  • Re-package boots to return to stock or outlet stores.
  • Familiarize with company systems to print labels and locate work orders.
  • Receive UPS and FedEx packages daily as needed.
  • Locate paid repairs and boots throughout the factory.
  • Work closely with Returns Supervisor to provide updates on progress of boots.
  • Able to read and understand production tickets.
  • Familiarize and learn different lasts (foot molds) toes and heels.
  • Familiarize with leathers, colors, styles, and designs in order to expedite pairs throughout the factory.
  • Ability to work and communicate with factory operators.
  • Responsible to keep working area always clean.

  • Support teamwork and assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Supervisor.
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety procedures.

  • Minimize rework by adhering to process specifications and visual inspection standards.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to rotate stations without compromising efficiency or quality.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and production instructions.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and transition between operations efficiently.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment.

 

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in boot manufacturing, leather goods production, or similar industrial manufacturing environment required.
