JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is for a high school teacher under contract with a district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy, or Washington counties to teach MCC Powersports courses for dual credit at their home high school.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

•    Deliver MCC course objectives in the high school dual credit classroom
•    Ensure academic rigor aligns with on-campus expectations
•    Participate in departmental course assessments
•    Complete required curriculum training
•    Maintain an MCC-aligned course syllabus
•    Uphold professional and ethical standards 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•    8 years of FT related occupational experience
OR
•    approved Journey-worker status
OR
•    4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in career field
OR
•    2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline.

•    Factory certification from national manufacturer, such as Polaris, Yamaha or others.

•    Currently employed high school teacher who will be under contract with a local school district in Douglas, Dodge, Sarpy or Washington counties
