Job Description

As a Bakery Production Worker, you will have the chance to create dessert items for our expansive menu and bake from scratch delicious pastries, cakes, and various dessert items that everyone has come to crave. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Depositing:

  • Perform depositing and baking preparation process on the production line in accordance with the specification sheet and production standard operating procedures (SOP) for each type of cake
  • Prepare pans and pan bottom inserts for the baking depositing and baking process
  • Insert pan collars and liners are required by the baking process
  • Ensure the deposit of crumb materials and batters are properly depositing into the baking pans per the baking specifications for each cake
  • Ensure correct add-in ingredients are properly incorporated into the batter per the baking specifications for each cake

Topping:

  • Perform cake layering and set-up process on the production line in accordance with the specification sheet and production standard operating procedures (SOP) for each type of cake
  • Prepare cake layers for topping and setup by removing cakes from the pans and removing pan liner inserts and collars as may be required by the topping specifications for each type of cake
  • Insert icing using depositing machines and spread in accordance with the specifications for each cake
  • Fill and/ repair any cracks that may have formed in the cakes during the baking process
  • Layer and/ or setup the cakes in accordance with the specifications for each type of cake
  • Palletize cakes based on process requirements for each cake as may be necessary

Finishing:

  • Perform finishing and decorating process on the production line in accordance with the specification sheet and production standard operating procedures (SOP) for each type of cake
  • Rack and/ or palletize cakes as may be required by the production process
  • Remove cakes from pans in preparation of the finishing process
  • Remove pan-liners and collars
  • Replace cake circles on the bottom of the cakes
  • Apply top and side icing for each cake in accordance with the specifications for each type of cake
  • Apply side crunch ingredients to each cake in accordance with the specifications for each type of cake
  • Apply decorative topping ingredients in accordance with the specifications for each type of cake
  • Cake repair or slice replacement to ensure the quality of the entire cake as may be required
  • Apply shipping collars and wrapping to each cake as required by the specification for each type of cake
  • Pack and box cakes for shipping
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to work Monday – Saturday
  • Flexible to work overtime if needed
  • Ability to lift 10+ pounds

Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow specifications in English
