The Engineering Manager is responsible for design and development of all engineering related activities used in the design, production, and repair of metal detection, or x-ray, or check weigher, or vision systems. What you will do:Plan, implement, and manage automated manufacturing systems to improve production efficiency and qualityLead a team of engineers in designing, installing, and maintaining automation equipment such as robotics, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and control systemsCollaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure automation solutions meet operational requirements.Monitore system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtimeManage budgets, timelines and resources for automation budgetsEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory standardsStay updated with the latest automation technologies and integrating relevant innovations into manufacturing processesRecruit, train, and retentain a qualified and motivated teamImprovement productivity and qualityProvide timely and accurate performance evaluationsControl workflow to achieve targets and minimize costsRegulate and enforce 5S programImplement continuous improvement projectsEstablish and monitor department budgetAchieve OTD, lead time, failure analysis, and quality goalsDevelop reports and metrics to monitor individual performance to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achievedDevelop system design guidelines and ensure that all system’s design, quality, and manufacturing procedures meet the guidelines  Work with production and manufacturing engineering to understand process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve qualityEffectively utilize engineering resources to achieve increased productivityProvide expertise and take responsibility for compliance to relevant industry and regulatory standardsStay abreast of technological advances that can be applied to inspection systemsProvide troubleshooting support for engineering, production, sales, and serviceOther duties and tasks as assigned
