Job Description

General Description

The Pricing Intern plays an integral role in Aircastle’s business. This role evaluates the merits of acquisition, disposition, and management of aircraft deals.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 

Member of the Pricing team headquartered in Stamford, CT. The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare pricing models to evaluate the economics of aircraft purchases, sales and remarketing.
  • Prepare maintenance models to evaluate the current and expected condition of aircraft and summarize the maintenance inflows, outflows and unsecured risk profiles.
  • Evaluate and document commercial terms, unique features and risk profiles.
  • Maintain comp data for all purchases, sales and remarketing transactions.
  • Assist the Pricing team with proposals, LOIs, approval documents, etc.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support Aircastle’s strategic decisions.
  • Provide assistance with research in regard to aircraft types, airline commitments, and industry activity.
  • Coordinate with accounting, finance, and technical to identify efficient processes to cross-reference pricing and maintenance assumptions.
  • Assist the accounting team with recoverability analysis.
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Support all departments with analytical support as necessary.

Position Requirements

Formal Education and Certification

  • Junior in college, pursuing a BA/BS degree in Finance, Aviation, or related business field 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Prior internship experience and/or coursework with focus on complex financial modeling / analytics
  • Advanced modeling and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and aircraft specifics is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to build solid relationships with colleagues and executive management
