We're Hiring: Procurement and Contracts Supervisor

Join our growing Procurement and Contracts Department where initiative, collaboration, and efficiency are essential. Our small but high‑impact team manages a significant workload-last year alone completing over 100 contracts, 800 purchase orders, and 15 formal solicitations. We are seeking an experienced procurement professional with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex, concurrent workloads while confidently leading and mentoring others.

The Role

The Procurement and Contracts Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the agency's ability to deliver effective, reliable, and transparent public services. This position oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Procurement and Contracts team, currently consisting of three staff members with three additional positions to be filled. The Supervisor ensures all procurement and contract activities comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations while supporting an efficient, collaborative, and well‑functioning team environment.

Your Mission

  • Oversee daily team workflow, providing direction, prioritization, and quality assurance for purchase order and contract processing.
  • Lead, mentor, and train staff on best practices, regulatory compliance, and systems and procedures to support professional growth and team proficiency.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex procurement or contract issues, internal concerns, and policy interpretation questions.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all public procurement and contract actions.
  • Strategize and innovate to solve problems, improve processes, and advance departmental goals through continuous improvement.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with key personnel and management regarding operational status, performance, and workload.
  • Support effective stakeholder interactions and ensure procurement and contract administration activities are managed efficiently and professionally.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a collaborative leader who takes initiative, balances flexibility and empathy with a sharp attention to detail, and communicates effectively at all levels. You bring the ability to guide a team through a demanding workload while maintaining accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

Why This Role Matters
