Reports to _Principal                                                        Date __July 28, 2005


 


 


Summary and relationship to the curriculum: All classified positions will strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the school district’s mission statement. The ATS performs data entry at the school level.


 


Duties and Responsibilities:   



  1. Knowledgeable regarding current district policies on registering students.


 



  1. Enters all enrollments and withdrawals to maintain the current student information system.


 



  1. Responsible for maintaining current documentation, data entry, and tracking of student scheduling.


 



  1. Ensures the appropriate documents are scanned into the student information system.


 



  1. Produces progress reports and report cards.


 



  1. Maintains attendance records for students.


 



  1. Responsible for FTE reports and documentation.


 



  1. Responsible for data entry, data corrections, and tracking of approved out of zone students.


 



  1. Identifies student school’s zone based on board policy.


 



  1. Responds to questions regarding the use of the student information system.


 



  1. Gathers and prepares Impact Aid information as required.


 



  1. Generates reports as needed for student data.


 



  1. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.


 


 


      


Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 


 



  1. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Basic keyboarding; some bookkeeping and telephone experience desirable; one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


 



  1. Certificate or License Required: Must complete in-house administrative technology specialist training.


 



  1. Language Skills: Must have ability to read and comprehend job specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and position specific manuals.  Must have ability to write correspondence and reports. Must have ability to effectively articulate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.


 



  1. Mathematical Skills: Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.  Must have ability to conduct position related data analysis. Must have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 


 



  1. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to facilitate the problem solving processes. Must have ability to synthesize workable options from given facts, and assist in the development of workable solutions.


 



  1. Technical Ability:  Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies. 


 



  1. Customer Service Skills: Must be able to interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff members, students using tactful yet effective skills. Must collaborate well with others and display a cooperative attitude. Must be service oriented and actively seek ways to assist others.


 


Professional Requirements:  Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and lift.  Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel.  The employee must be able to exert or lift up to 25 pounds.


 


Work Environment:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Frequent travel involves exposure to traffic and outdoor elements. 


 


Travel to home sites, school sites, and other locations is required.


 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently working in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
