Catering Manager – Sales-Focused Role | Tropical Smoothie Café

Are you a self-starter, entrepreneur-minded person who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and growing a business? Tropical Smoothie Café is looking for a Catering Manager to lead our off-premise sales efforts and drive catering growth across our locations. This is not an event planning role; this is a role for someone who understands field sales, relationship-building, and the commission structure associated with growing a book of business.


This role is perfect for someone who’s energized by talking to people, building relationships, delivering great food, and growing a sales book through strategic outreach and excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively grow catering sales through B2B outreach, community engagement, and inbound lead conversion.
  • Identify and target local businesses, schools, hospitals, and organizations for recurring catering opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a CRM pipeline, track leads, and manage follow-ups to convert prospects into loyal customers.
  • Serve as the face of our brand in the field, dropping off menus, samples, and making personal connections.
  • Building catering orders and ensuring that orders are packaged correctly and quality-checked.
  • Personally deliver high-priority orders and ensure an exceptional guest experience from order to drop-off.
  • Communicate regularly with store leadership to ensure kitchen and FOH teams are aligned with catering needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand with enthusiasm and hospitality.
  • Report weekly sales progress and outreach activity to the leadership team.
  • Help shape the long-term catering sales strategy as we scale.


Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Prior sales experience, preferably in food service, hospitality, or a B2B context.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills—comfortable walking into offices and presenting our offerings.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time across prospecting, selling, and follow-through.
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and email campaigns to track outreach and performance.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods when supporting order preparation and delivery.
  • Must be flexible with schedule: Occasional early morning deliveries or late pickups as business needs dictate.


Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in catering, restaurant operations, or field marketing.
  • Familiarity with catering platforms.
