Position Summary:
The Cad Design Drafter will play a pivotal role in the facilities operation by drawing part prints for the shop floor and being a understudy of a Senior Design Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software based on sketches, or design concepts from engineers.
- Generate 2D and 3D models for projects.
- Revise and update drawings according to feedback, design changes, or project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project standard.
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and managers to clarify design details and resolve issues.
- Maintain organized digital libraries of drawings and technical documents for version control and project tracking.
- Prepare supplementary documentation, such as bills of materials or technical specs.
Education and Experience Required:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and design.
- Mathematical and technical skills to interpret engineering and architectural plans.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Education: Typically a 2-year associate degree or 1-year certificate in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), including coursework in mathematics, engineering, and CAD software.
- Experience: Entry-level positions may not require prior work experience, but familiarity with CAD software is essential. Senior positions often require 2–5 years of experience and may include supervisory responsibilities.
- Certifications: Optional professional certification from the American Design Drafting Association can enhance career prospects.
