Job Title: Pool Construction Superintendent
Salary Range: 85,000 - $110,000
Position Summary
The Pool Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations related to swimming pool construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents, quality standards, and code requirements. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing daily activities, and maintaining clear communication with project management and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day field operations for multiple pool construction projects
Coordinate and supervise all trades including excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, gunite/shotcrete, tile, coping, decking, and finishes
Ensure all work is installed per plans, specifications, and applicable building codes
Develop and maintain project schedules; proactively identify and resolve delays
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance
Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies on all job sites
Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure timely approvals
Review plans and shop drawings; identify conflicts and coordinate with Project Manager
Maintain accurate daily reports, including manpower, progress, and site conditions
Manage material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal team members
Identify and document change order conditions and field issues
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in pool construction or related field
Strong knowledge of pool construction processes (layout, hydraulics, shotcrete, waterproofing, finishes, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience managing subcontractors and field crews
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes (Florida experience preferred)
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore preferred)
