Job Description

Job Summary

Supervise operations within a warehouse to effectively manage receipt, storage, selection, packaging, loading, and shipping of products to customers.

 

Job summary: Ensures uninterrupted material availability through proactive planning, risk assessment, and shortage resolution. The role independently manages complex material‑management activities, supports sourcing and technical functions, drives cost and POV reduction, and leads assigned projects across Commercial, IC&D, and Operations to strengthen overall supply chain performance and resilience.

Job Description.

1. Material Availability & Risk Management

  • Ensure continuous material availability by monitoring multiple data sources and identifying potential supply risks early.

  • Implement preventive measures to avoid supply disruptions and protect operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain contingency plans for critical raw material shortages.

2. Shortage Recovery & Operational Support

  • Lead the resolution of raw material shortages, coordinating with planners, procurement, and suppliers to minimize production downtime.

  • Support planning and scheduling teams during resource constraints to safeguard production continuity.

3. Sourcing Support & Cost Competitiveness

  • Partner with technical teams (Flavorists, IC&D, Commercial) on E&R materials, including alternative sources, cost‑competitive suppliers, and supply security strategies.

  • Collaborate with GP (Global Procurement) and Quality to drive supplier performance improvements.

4. Cost Control & POV Reduction

  • Monitor material cost deviations and drive reduction of POV (Price Output Variance) caused by material price changes.

  • Establish preventive mechanisms and continuous‑improvement actions to reduce cost variance and improve cost accuracy.

5. Inventory Optimization

  • Review and analyze Slow‑Moving & Obsolete (SLOB) materials; identify potential customers to consume excess stock and minimize write‑off costs.

  • Align short‑term delivery plans to balance production requirements with inventory minimization.

6. Project Management

  • Lead and execute assigned projects at local, regional, or global levels, ensuring on‑time delivery and effective stakeholder communication

  • Provide structured updates and feedback to the global planning team

7. Process & Performance Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain processes and enhance operational performance.

  • Collaborate with GP, planners, and customer service to streamline workflows and improve cross‑functional execution.

8. Compliance & Documentation

  • Prepare End User Declarations for local purchases of USDEA‑regulated materials and manage related permit applications.

  • Perform SOX compliance conflict reviews and prepare required reporting documentation.
