Job Description

Position Department: Athletics Administration



Position School: Administration: No School



Overview:

Responsible for assistance in the administration of the media relations office within the guidelines, rules and regulations of Robert Morris University and the NCAA.



Responsibilities:

1. Assist in day-to-day operations of the media relations office at RMU and the promotion of its 15-sport athletic program. 2. Assist in game-day operations for various sports, including, but not limited to, football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse and softball. 3. Work with media relations staff to develop and produce content, including feature stories, graphics and video, for use on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. 4. Assist in maintenance of athletics department website (www.rmucolonials.com). 5. Assist in supervising and maintaining archival information, records and statistics. 6. Demonstrate a cooperative attitude toward staff within the RMU intercollegiate athletics program. 7. Abide by all NCAA, conference and University regulations, policies and procedures. Report any known or suspected NCAA violations to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance or Faculty Athletics Representative. Violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action up to, and including, termination of employment. 8. Perform other duties as assigned by Media Relations Director or media relations staff.

Successful candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills.
