Processes daily accounting activities, which include general ledger activity, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash management, for KTEA and all its entities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians – State of Washington Gaming Compact, internal Controls, NIGC Regulation s and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
Help maintain financial reporting system. Ensures accuracy when creating different reports, such as, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, as well as specialized reports.
Performs month-end activities: Prepares month-end income and expense accrual entries; reconciles general ledger balance sheet accounts.
Tracks and records fixed assets: This involves entering all assets in the fixed asset system; reconciling the amounts between the fixed asset system and the general ledger system; tagging and tracking all fixed assets, coordinating responsibilities of the asset custodians; organizing and conducting annual fixed asset inventory; tracking budget versus actual expenditures for assets; preparing monthly depreciation schedules; recording and reconciling depreciation in the general ledger system.
Performs daily Slot Audit in accordance with gaming regulations.
Performs monthly Prepaid reconciliation and journal entries.
Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent attendance record.

Experience
Five years’ related experience directly related to the responsibilities noted above and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in using enterprise-wide accounting systems (MAS 500 preferred).
Skills & Abilities
Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical solutions.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all company Team Members.
Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, and general accounting practices.
Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (with an emphasis in Accounting preferred) from four-year college or university.
Other Requirements
Obtain and maintain [License or Work Permit Level].
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
