Your Opportunities in This Role
At DLF, we’re seeking a passionate and curious individual who’s ready to take responsibility and work closely with a dedicated team. As a Lab Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of Trait Technology and contribute to both daily operations and long-term goals.
You will be responsible for generating high‑quality molecular data and supporting laboratory operations and contribute to efficient workflows and reliable data delivery for breeding and research activities.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Preparing plant samples (e.g., leaf material) and ensuring high-quality DNA extraction
- Performing DNA extraction using automated systems
- Supporting genotyping workflows and PCR-based analyses (digital PCR is an advantage)
- Ensuring accurate sample tracking and performing quality control of DNA and assay results (e.g., concentration, integrity, and assay performance)
- Maintaining efficient laboratory workflows and collaborating closely with breeding and R&D teams
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has a laboratory technician education or a degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, or a related field
- Enjoys structured, hands-on laboratory work and is motivated to learn new methods and techniques
- Is careful, organized, and responsible, with a collaborative mindset
- Is experienced in working with laboratory systems and workflows; experience with automated systems (e.g., liquid handling robots) is an advantage
- Has experience with PCR-based methods (digital PCR is a plus) and is comfortable working in English

Practical Information
Work location: Smørum, Denmark
Start date: As soon as possible
Working hours: Full-time (37 hours/week)
Remote work possibility: Limited, presence required in the laboratory
