- Prepare and cook food items adhering to the National School Lunch Program.
- Serve meals to students and staff in a timely and friendly manner.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, steamers, mandoline and dishwashers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, serving and dining areas.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
- Wash all dishes, utensils, and equipment used in the preparation and service of food.
- Receive and store deliveries
- Assist in the counting and recording of meals served and food used as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Support team members with other tasks as needed in order to ensure a smooth meal service for students.
- Assist in the cleaning of counters, tables, washing of trays and furnishings in the lunchroom.
- Report any concerns to the Principal/ Building Assistant and/or Food Service Administrator.
- Adhere to recommended serving portions as outlined in the National School Lunch Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of Bellwood School District 88.
- Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follows all district policies.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
- Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption to district and department operations.C
- Provides optimal customer service to all students, employees, parents, community members and any other stakeholders of the district
- Assist with the supervision of children on the playground including walking around making sure children are playing appropriately.
- Assist with the supervision of students in the lunchroom including walking around the lunchroom ensuring that all children are behaving appropriately.

Summary: The Lunchroom Supervisor is responsible for preparing, serving and cleaning up meals served in the school cafeteria. This position plays a key role in providing students with nutritious meals in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
Qualification(s):The successful candidate will have the following:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
