The Job

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.

• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.

• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.

• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift. 

• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and one that motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense 

of urgency, and ensure a positive Guest experience

• Skilled at de-escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard.

• Supports Management with the inventory process.

• Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration

dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order.

• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles.

• It is a role model when it comes to maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members & Guests by enforcing 

the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a work or dining space.

• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.

• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.

• Proficient in a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively.

• Is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and Guest interaction
