Mara Center Teacher Assistant

Teacher Assistant

Assist Lead Teacher to develop and supervise curriculum; manage small groups; ensure safety; perform classroom housekeeping; probation period 90 days.

School Age Childcare Counselor

High School required; 18+; childcare experience; lead groups of 10-20; strong listening/communication; multitasking; reliable.

Water Aerobics Instructor 

Water aerobics certification required; Aqua Zumba is a plus; First Aid/CPR/AED; minimum 1 year teaching experience; strong communication and safety knowledge.

Group Exercise Barre Instructor

Barre instructor certification with CPR/First Aid/AED; YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification required within 60 days; 1+ year Barre teaching experience; additional certifications in group fitness encouraged.

Assistant Swim Coach

Coaching experience required; certifications in CPR/First Aid/EAD; YMCA/Red Cross instructor certifications; US Swim certification; ability to lift and supervise swimmers.

Swim Instructor

Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid. YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent. Must be 16+; ability to instruct and observe proper stroke techniques; lift equipment and assist children.

Massage Therapist

Licensed massage therapist; CPR/First Aid; 500 education hours; high school diploma preferred; prior massage experience preferred.

Lifeguard

Lifeguard role: must be at least 16, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and Basic First Aid certifications; current Lifeguard certification (Red Cross or YMCA); ability to maintain physical and mental readiness; demonstrate YMCA lifeguard skills.

Membership Associate

Part-time member services role requiring high school level education and customer service mindset; CPR/First Aid/AED and safety trainings preferred within 30 days.

Custodian

18+ years old; outgoing, energetic, and engaging; willing to work part-time evenings and weekends; able to lift up to 50 lbs; boiler certificate a plus.

Personal Trainer

Part-time personal trainer with CPR/First Aid/AED; bloodborne pathogens and child abuse prevention training within 30 days; previous experience preferred; personal training certification required.

Volunteer

Volunteer position; volunteer coordination, event support, and customer service experience helpful.
