Administrative Assistant

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our services, directly supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service and upholding our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determines docket dates from court documents and correspondence and ensures appropriate entry of data in the docket.
  • Resolves docket discrepancies.
  • Responsible for opening new matters, including conflict requirements under the firm's policies.
  • Maintains positive contact with attorneys, staff and clients and observe confidentiality of the docket and firm's clients.
  • Schedules court calls.
  • Assists with creating shells for court filings and discovery responses.
  • Submits vendor invoices for payment.
  • Assists with attorney time entries as needed.
  • Assists with credit card reconciliations.
  • Assists with Reception coverage as needed.
  • Assists with file management as needed, including saving to iManage.
  • Other duties as assigned by secretaries and office administrator.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years secretarial or administrative experience in a related environment; 3 years legal experience is preferred
  • College course work and/or legal secretarial field or equivalent combination of experience/training in other non-related field is required
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Word, intermediate-advanced skill level in Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
  • Ability to accomplish tasks quickly and thoroughly with a high degree of accuracy and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as a productive team member, contributing to the concept of continuous improvement of the department and its service offerings
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the firm business process and business operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Superior knowledge of the firm�s goals and objectives.

The hourly rate range for this position is $27.61 - $34.68. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
