Halifax Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced Lead CVT to join our growing, team-oriented hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact�both on patient care and team development�within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role

As our Lead Certified Veterinary Technician, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting our technical team while remaining hands-on in patient care.

You�ll help ensure smooth daily operations, uphold medical standards, and foster a positive and efficient work environment.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks to support efficient workflow and excellent patient care
  • Monitor daily hospital operations and maintain safety protocols
  • Train, mentor, and support Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule:

  • Monday�Friday: 7:00 AM � 4:00 PM
  • Future: Rotating Saturdays (with a weekday off)

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $21-25 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $2000
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Active Veterinary Technician License (Florida)

Technical Skills:

  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Dental prophylaxis and radiographs
  • IV catheter placement
  • Cystocentesis
  • IV/IM injections
  • Microscopic evaluation

Leadership & Operational Skills:

  • Training and mentorship of team members
  • Monitoring hospital flow and efficiency
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and medical protocols
