Unleashed at Carters Creek is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our growing veterinary team! Our kennel team plays an essential role in ensuring the care, comfort, and safety of our patients, while also providing critical support to our veterinary staff.

In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry, animal care, and hospital cleanliness to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for both our patients and our team.

Responsibilities include providing meals and walks for boarding pets, administering medications when needed, and carefully monitoring animals for any medical or behavioral concerns. You will also maintain detailed documentation of your observations and ensure kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces remain clean, sanitized, and well-stocked.

This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, enjoy organization and cleaning, and thrive in a team-focused environment while working closely with animals.

Schedule: This is a flexible, full-time position with availability needed: Monday � Friday with rotating Saturdays

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 1+ year of kennel or animal handling experience preferred
  • Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Boarding feline care, including medication administration and cage maintenance
    • Boarding canine care, including medication administration, walking, and kennel maintenance
    • Patient restraint and light technician assisting

Our team offers a full range of veterinary services including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for a Veterinary Kennel Assistant who enjoys working with animals and takes pride in helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients.
