Veterinary Receptionist

Porter Square Veterinary is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to become the next member of our incredible team. As the face of the hospital, our CSRs greet visitors with warmth and compassion, fostering trust in the veterinary team and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

In this role, you will schedule and manage the flow of appointments, provide empathetic customer service while multi-tasking between a multi-line phone system and in-person clients, process financial transactions, answer inquiries, and provide essential information about the services we provide.

Previous veterinary experience is highly desired but not a requirement, and candidates with knowledge of veterinary terminology, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain organized under pressure will thrive in this role.

Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 5 x 8 schedule and availability needed Monday - Saturday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 1+ years of client service experience preferred
  • Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    • Comfortable handling phones, scheduling, and financial transactions
    • Basic computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills
    • Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
  • Nice to have skills (not required):
    • Knowledge of veterinary terminology
