South Shreveport Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

What You�ll Do

  • Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including patient prep, anesthesia support, and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Support efficient exam room flow with patient handling and appointment prep
  • Communicate with clients during check-in, treatment plan discussions, and discharge instructions
  • Perform and assist with diagnostics and treatments
  • Anticipate team needs to help keep the day running smoothly

Schedule

  • Full-time, 4/10 schedule
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM � 1:00 PM

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $17-19 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure
  • CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on licensure

What We�re Looking For

  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset

Proficiency in:

  • Anesthesia induction & monitoring
  • Dental prophylaxis & radiographs
  • Cystocentesis
  • IV catheter placement
  • IV/IM injections
  • Microscope evaluation
