Assigns ICD-10-CM, CPT, E/M on Emergency Room&nbsp;accounts&nbsp;

Duties &amp; Responsibilities 

<ul>
	<li>Assigns ICD-10-CM,&nbsp;CPT, E/M on Emergency room&nbsp;accounts.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Reviews the medical record in order to select the appropriate diagnosis, secondary diagnoses and procedures.</li>
	<li>Abstracts relevant clinical information from the medical records.</li>
	<li>Participates in coding staff meetings.</li>
	<li>Assist other coders when needed.</li>
	<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications 

<ul>
	<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>
	<li>Strong Background in Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.</li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px">RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CMC.</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications

<ul>
	<li>Prior Experience in Inpatient Coding.</li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px">Keyboard skills ---- Experience with 3M Encoder.</li>
