JOB SUMMARY:
The Mortgage Software Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining the technical systems that power our lending operations. At AFC, this role isn't just about writing code; it’s about making the mortgage process faster, more secure, and more intuitive for both our internal teams and our borrowers. You will be at the heart of our mission to stay ahead of the competition by building custom tools and integrating industry-standard platforms.
 
What You Will Bring:
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in C# / .NET Core (common for mortgage platforms) or Python for automation scripts.</li>
<li>Experience with JavaScript (React or Angular) for borrower-facing interfaces.</li>
<li>Strong SQL skills for managing large-scale financial data and borrower records.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Byte or similar mortgage-specific software.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of data encryption and secure coding practices to protect sensitive borrower PII (Personally Identifiable Information)</li>
<li>Experience with JIRA and agile methodologies a plus</li>

Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Develop and maintain integrations between our primary Loan Origination System (e.g., Encompass, Empower) and third-party APIs for credit reporting, appraisals, and title services.</li>
<li>Build and "code" automated workflows that reduce manual data entry for Loan Processors and Underwriters.</li>
<li>Program complex business rules into our software to ensure every loan automatically meets state and federal regulatory guidelines (CFPB, Fair Lending, etc.).</li>
<li>Maintain and enhance web-based portals for borrower applications and document uploads.</li>
<li> Write and optimize SQL queries to ensure accurate data flow across our financial systems and reporting dashboards. </li>
</ul>

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking educator to fill the unique role of SEL & Technology Specials Teacher. In an era where students&rsquo; social lives and academic pursuits are inextricably linked to the digital world, this role serves as a vital bridge.
You will be responsible for managing the school&rsquo;s technology lab/media center while delivering a curriculum that prioritizes Digital Citizenship and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Your goal is to produce students who are not just tech-literate, but tech-aware&mdash;empowering them to use tools creatively while maintaining their emotional well-being and interpersonal connections.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Instructional Leadership: Design and implement a "Specials" rotation curriculum for grades [K-5] that meets state technology standards and CASEL SEL competencies. The teacher will instruct K-5 students daily.</li>
<li>Digital Citizenship: Teach students the ethics of the internet, including privacy, cyberbullying prevention, and the impact of the "digital footprint."</li>
<li>Technical Literacy: Introduce foundational skills such as keyboarding, G-Suite/Office 365, introductory coding ( and other coding software), and creative media production.</li>
<li>Emotional Regulation: Utilize technology-based projects to teach perseverance through "productive struggle," collaborative problem-solving, and conflict resolution.</li>
<li>Lab Management: Oversee the physical and digital environment of the technology lab, ensuring equipment is cared for and the atmosphere is inclusive and trauma-informed.</li>
<li>Peer Collaboration: Act as a consultant for classroom teachers to help them integrate SEL-friendly technology practices into their daily instruction.</li>
<li>Use of SEL Program: The teacher will instruct students using the social and emotional learning program provided by Lotus School for Excellence - Elementary, as well as, incorporate the indicators.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Social and Emotional Learning, or other related field.</li>
<li>Certification: Valid Colorado Teaching License. (Endorsements in Computer Science, Social Emotional Learning, or Instructional Technology are a plus)-preferred.</li>
<li>Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a classroom setting, preferably in a diverse or high-needs environment.</li>
<li>Technical Skills: Proficiency with Interactive Whiteboards, LMS platforms (Canvas/Google Classroom), and educational software (Nearpod, Kahoot, etc.).</li>
