The successful candidate will partner with corporate and facility leadership to establish a strategy and advance a culture of environmental excellence throughout the company and facilities. The Environmental Engineering Manager leads the environmental function in creating, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies to promote sustainable development. The successful candidate will also carry out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented to ensure permit, legal, and regulatory compliance.MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans to ensure corporate sustainable development.</li><li>Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, and environmental health.</li><li>Lead the implementation of environmental policies and procedures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date on legislation related to environmental issues.</li><li>Audit, analyze and report environmental performance.</li><li>Perform impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce environmental risks and financial costs.</li><li>Implement best practices in areas of corporate, ethical, and social responsibility and address any issues.</li><li>Develop and implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of the organization on environmental issues.</li><li>Train and assist staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilities (Air, Waste, Water, SPCC, SWPPP, etc.).</li><li>Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues.</li><li>Set organizational environmental targets and develop plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.</li><li>Assures all related files, permits and information is on file and available for inspection at all facilities.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li style="color:black !important">Bachelor’s degree in Environmental (preferred) or related field (natural sciences, engineering, chemistry, or similar)</li><li style="color:black !important">A minimum of 5&#43; years of work experience in the Environmental field with increasing responsibility leading and directing teams.  (Large organization preferred)</li><li style="color:black !important">1-3&#43; years of supervisory experience preferred.</li><li style="color:black !important">Professional environmental certifications preferred.</li><li style="color:black !important">Demonstrated success in improving environmental performance and establishing best practices.</li><li style="color:black !important">Proven examples of effective communication and listening skills.</li><li style="color:black !important">Demonstrated team leadership skills.  Experience in managing Corporate Environmental programs.</li><li style="color:black !important">Passion and drive for environmental.</li><li style="color:black !important">Strong self-motivation skills, with proven ability to successfully work independently.</li><li style="color:black !important">Knowledge of air, waste, water and spill regulations in Oklahoma, Minnesota, Indiana, New York, and Georgia preferred.</li><li style="color:black !important">Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.</li><li style="color:black !important">Experience with CEMS and COMS systems is preferred.</li><li>Experience with Title V air permits is required</li></ul>

Purpose of Position
Responsible for maintaining quality requirements and standards, process improvements and supporting and administering our ISO 9001based Quality Management System.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities
<ul type="disc">
<li>Performs more varied and difficult aspects of position. At this level the employee would have less latitude than Senior in terms of decision making and un-reviewed actions. However, this level requires considerable know-how of the subject matter, principles, and concepts of more complex systems.</li>
<li>Analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.</li>
<li>Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.</li>
<li>Plan, control and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include, planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.</li>
<li>Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.</li>
<li>Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.</li>
<li>Serve as primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Instructs others in continuous process improvements including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques from the following disciplines; LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Team Based Training.</li>
<li>Develops strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the Quality Management System.</li>
<li>Applies various industrial engineering problem solving and productivity techniques to evaluate the improvement of recommended strategies and programs.</li>
<li>Review, analyze and report quality system data to identify trends and identify the need for corrective and preventive actions.</li>
</ul>
 
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in applicable discipline
 
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience or equivalent.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must have broad knowledge and understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards and improvement systems. Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs, regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
