The purpose of your role as an Estimator II
As an Estimator, you will prepare positions of contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines, including the determination of applicable project plans and specifications. Disciplines could be plumbing, piping or sheet metal systems. May independently estimate a small to medium sized plan/spec, design assist or design build projects.
Estimating, Proposing, and Assessing:

<li>Develop proposal and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate</li>
<li>Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity</li>
<li>Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates</li>
<li>Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and required contents of estimate</li>
<li>Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate</li>
<li>May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials</li>
<li>Develop proposals for current or prospective customers</li>
<li>Develop and deliver accurate project cost estimates</li>
<li>Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, comparing actual costs relative to bids as the project develops</li>
<li>Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project</li>
<li>Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures</li>
<li>Review material and labor requirements to determine most cost-effective outcome</li>
<li>Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors, adhering to scope and specification</li>

 Pay Range: $78,187 - $117,280 per year.
 The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Estimator II

2+ years estimating/engineering/trade experience; 4+ years Microsoft Office; associates degree preferred in engineering or related field; knowledge of estimating techniques and cost components.

Primary purpose:To provide a high level of technical support on a regional or system basis relating to corrosion control and pipeline integrity. Design and maintain cathodic protection and internal corrosion control facilities. Conduct internal and external specialized corrosion tests on steel structures. Level 1 is an entry level position with approximately six to twelve months of training/work experience in order progress to next level<h3>Responsibilities</h3><div>Essential duties and responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Responsible for all activities related to corrosion control and pipeline integrity, including design, installation, operation, and&nbsp;</li><li>maintenance, cathodic protection facilities, power lines, galvanic anodes and internal corrosion control facilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor the condition of the pipeline through pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspection, examination of coupons, data from in-line tools,&nbsp;</li><li>etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor electrical isolation and identify points of electrical shorts.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient operation of cathodic protection facilities.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead efforts to design and implement effective long term cathodic protection systems.
