This role contributes directly to the development and sustainment of advanced training and simulation capabilities used across the Joint Force.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>What You Will DO</b></u></H2></div><div><p>•    Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions.<br>•    Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware engineers and equipment designers to plan, design, and develop electronic data processing systems for both product and commercial software.<br>•    Analyze user needs and system capabilities to resolve issues related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and system controls.<br>•    Prepare operating instructions and contribute to the design and development of compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.<br>•    Write clean, maintainable, and well structured code that adheres to established coding standards.<br>•    Execute software testing based on test procedures or requirements documents, documenting and correcting defects as needed.<br>•    Document cold starts and develops software for new and updated virtual environment courses.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>What You Must Have</b></u></H2></div><div><p>•    2 years experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.<br>•    Foundational programming experience in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript).<br>•    Understanding of object oriented programming principles and software design fundamentals.<br>•    Experience with version control systems such as Git.<br>•    Familiarity with debugging tools and basic troubleshooting techniques.<br>•    Ability to read, interpret, and implement requirements and technical documentation.<br>•    Exposure to software testing practices, including unit testing or integration testing.<br>•    Basic understanding of Windows or Linux development environments.<br>•    Must have an active Secret Clearance. </p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><u><b>Preferred Requirements</b></u></H2></div><div><p>•    Working knowledge of C++/C# in a Visual Studio environment.<br>•    Good software debugging skills.<br>•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products a plus.</p></div></div></div><p>HII is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to build a new future.
