Senior Software Engineer

5+ years in reporting/analytics; Power BI, Snowflake; 3+ years C#/.NET or Java; MS SQL; frontend/API tech; cloud and DevOps; OpenAI tools.

As part of our Corporate Engineering team the Computer Systems Engineer II will participate in computer systems project teams to design, purchase and install equipment at our various plant locations, collaborate with manufacturing plants in troubleshooting and problem solving as needed, and be responsible to back-up, troubleshoot and maintain plant systems as well as standard code libraries for the Controls Team. The Engineer is involved in all aspects of a project, from start to finish, often acting not only as the creative lead, but the team leader at times as well. Duties include:
 
Main Duties or Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Ensure Company safety procedures are being adhered to.</li>
<li>Writing Ladder Logic on new projects and existing equipment.</li>
<li>Perform HMI screen design.</li>
<li>Perform basic network design on new projects and system upgrades in keeping with IT standards and security principles.</li>
<li>Seek out, suggest and ultimately lead any HMI, UI, ERP integration continuous improvement projects.</li>
<li>Provide technical support for facilities worldwide.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li>
<li>Install and maintain distributed control system corporate-wide</li>
<li>Conduct continuous improvement on Global plant systems</li>
<li>Back-up, Document, Troubleshoot Virtual Machines and ESX servers for manufacturing</li>
</ul>
 
Skills & Experience or Qualifications:
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in a field of study such as electrical, computer systems.</li>
<li>Position requires between 5-7 years of control system or computer system engineering experience.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with Ladder Logic, preferably with Allen Bradley systems. ie. PLC 5, SLC and Controllogix.</li>
</ul>

<li>Strong Skills in HMI design, preferably with FactoryTalk and Ignition.</li>
