The mission of the Education Justice project is to build a model college-in-prison program that demonstrates the positive impacts of higher education upon incarcerated people, the communities from which they come, the host institution, and society as a whole.
 
The Education Justice Project (EJP) seeks a dynamic, organized, and results-driven individual to join EJP as a Web Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining EJP's websites.
 
This position is based on campus, with all work conducted virtually; prison clearance is not required.​
 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintain and update websites – Regularly update content, fix broken links, and ensure website accuracy for all EJP-affiliated websites.</li>
<li>Improve website navigation – Optimize site structure to ensure resources are easy to find.</li>
<li>Develop new features – Implement tools like a searchable database, interactive maps, and user-friendly submission forms.</li>
<li>Collaboration: Work closely across different teams to develop web solutions that support EJP's initiatives and enhance user experience.​</li>
<li>Enhance accessibility – Ensure the websites comply with WCAG guidelines, making them user-friendly for all audiences and ensuring best accessibility practices.</li>
<li>Improve website security – Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities.</li>

Minimum Qualifications:

ABOUT THE ROLE: 
Senior MTS - Software Development Engineer
The Observability team delivers performant, resilient, and scalable solutions that power our observability platform. This infrastructure spans the full data lifecycle — collection, transmission, processing, storage, and analysis — underpinning Aviatrix's end-to-end multi-cloud networking solution.
We are looking for a Sr. Member of Technical Staff (Sr. MTS) to join the Observability team. In this role, you will independently solve technically difficult problems, contribute to platform architecture, and deliver impactful improvements to the security, quality, reliability, and performance of our observability systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Execution
<ul>
<li>Design and implement solutions to a wide range of technically difficult problems across observability plane modules, using primarily Golang, Javascript and Python</li>
<li>Deliver features and improvements independently; demonstrate initiative and sound technical judgment throughout the development lifecycle</li>
<li>Write clean, testable, and maintainable code consistent with objectives set by Engineering leadership</li>

REQUIREMENTS

<li>3+ years of relevant software development experience with a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to independently solve defined but technically difficult problems end-to-end</li>
<li>Proficiency in Golang (strongly preferred) and/or Python</li>
<li>Experience building and operating microservice-based architectures</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of data pipeline development and ETL best practices</li>
<li>Excellent software engineering fundamentals: clean, testable, well-documented code</li>
<li>Strong communication skills — able to represent the team in technical discussions and customer-facing escalations</li>
