Job Description:JOB PURPOSE:The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical capital engineering projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The Senior PM serves as a cross-functional leader, collaborating with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and leadership teams to deliver high-impact improvements in manufacturing performance, capacity, safety, and quality. This role requires a solid background in project development and management in manufacturing environments in CPG and/or the pet food industry.DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<ul><li>Lead the end-to-end execution of capital and process improvement projects from concept through startup, including scoping, planning, budgeting, procurement, construction, and commissioning</li><li>Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans</li><li>Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure alignment and accountability</li><li>Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies</li><li>Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards</li><li>Support development of capital plans and business case justifications</li><li>Lead project reporting and communication with leadership and site teams</li><li>Conduct post-project reviews and ensure knowledge transfer and documentation</li><li>Technical support to factory and corporate maintenance functions. </li><li>Development and review of technical and operational standards.  </li></ul>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  (To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required).<div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, etc.) </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>7&#43; years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a project management role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven experience delivering capital projects in a manufacturing environment.  Knowledge and experience with Project Management and Early Management principles.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant layouts, utilities, and industrial equipment </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and project teams. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to travel up to 30%, including irregular hours/nights/weekends as needed </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficiency with project management software to develop and maintain project plans. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications  </li></ul></div>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  (The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.  The phrases “occasionally,” “regularly,” and “frequently” correspond to the following definitions: “occasionally” means up to 25% of working time, “regularly” means between 26 and 75% of working time, and “frequently” means 76% and more of working time.)<ul><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, walk, and move from place to place.  The employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or touch.</li></ul>Alphia is an equal opportunity employer. Position Summary:
 
Manages daily operations including the staff.  Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 
                                     •Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources •Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority •Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget •Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required •Prepares project reports for management, client, or others •Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems •Coordinates project activities with Traylor personnel and joint venture partners •Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project; including safety, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management and quality •Leads the project team •Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws •Work with and be part of the estimating departments during project procurement phases •Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management.  Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.  Ability to relocate as needed
