Job Description: Data Center Inspection Manager Amarillo, Texas - NTX Business Unit Reports to: West Texas Area Manager Purpose of Position/ Function: Working under the direction of the West Texas Area Manager, is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing the activities of inspection services staff within a data center project, managing relationships with key clients (existing and targeted opportunities) in support of annual business plan for the business line and promoting BV within the code compliance community to achieve organic growth objectives Responsibilities and Duties: Operational: 
<ul style="list-style-type:disc">
<li>Within a specific data center project, plans, assigns, directs, reviews, and evaluates the work of inspectors engaged in field inspection duties.</li>
<li>Maintains open communications to inspectors within project on important Company updates, status, and information and industry codes.</li>
<li>Establish schedule for meetings on a regular basis with inspectors and key clients to review performance and to identify additional business opportunities.</li>
<li>Assists evaluating recruitment needs and actively recruits inspector candidates.</li>
<li>Coordinates training programs with management to keep inspectors current on education and training.</li>
<li>Works with management on inspector performance and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Writes performance evaluations and conducts performance meetings with inspectors to provide feedback on an annual basis.</li>
<li>Works with management when new hires come on board. Assists with new hire paperwork collection, equipment assignment, etc.</li>
<li>Provides leadership and builds positive team chemistry on Company projects.</li>
<li>Performs on-site inspection and evaluation of construction projects.</li>
<li>Assists and advises clients and inspectors in matters relating to construction and code requirements.</li>
<li>Independently recognizes, evaluates and properly resolves unique problems or situations requiring the exercise of good judgment.</li>
<li>Manages and approves inspection team’s workload and schedules including timesheet and expense report approval. </li>
</ul>
Performance Metrics:

<li>Develop quarterly meeting schedule and provide quarterly summary on all meetings in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Meet with each inspector within project on a monthly basis and visit all clients at least quarterly to identify future opportunities. </li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications and Education: MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education or experience normally equivalent to; Education: A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably supplemented by additional training in building inspection, structural engineering, or a related field. An Associate Degree in engineering, architecture, building inspection, or related field, or equivalent ICC certification level is a plus. Experience: at least seven (7) years experience as a building inspector, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred. </div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:14.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H4 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H4></div><div>KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

<li>ICC Combination Inspector certification and/or CBO certification preferred.</li>
<li>Possess and maintain a State Plumbing Inspector license, preferred.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of building and related municipal codes, building inspection methods and techniques, construction materials, methods and techniques, principals of supervision, administration and management.</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of the industry and established relations with client contracts.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work well with people.</li>
<li>Positive attitude towards Company and clients.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.</li>
<li>Proficient with computer programs</li>
<li>Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.</li>
