Medical Assistant Trainer (CMA)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Trainer to support the development and training of Medical Assistants and clinical staff. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the Medical Assistant training program while providing hands-on instruction in both clinical and administrative functions.

The MA Trainer will mentor staff, evaluate competency, support onboarding of new employees, and ensure training practices comply with clinic policies and healthcare regulatory standards. This is a working Medical Assistant position, and the trainer may provide clinical coverage as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Training &amp; Program Development

<ul>
	<li>Develop, maintain, and evaluate the Medical Assistant training program.</li>
	<li>Provide instruction and training to Medical Assistants and clinic staff in both clinical and administrative duties.</li>
	<li>Assist with orientation and onboarding of newly hired Medical Assistants.</li>
	<li>Evaluate staff competency and provide feedback, mentorship, and coaching to support clinical skill development.</li>
	<li>Assist with the development and updating of training materials, procedures, and competency checklists.</li>

Clinical Skills Training

Experienced CMA trainer to develop and deliver Medical Assistant training; ensure regulatory compliance and program effectiveness.

<h2>About the Department</h2>The primary responsibilities of the head coach include coaching the teams during practices and games, team and travel supervision, and recruiting. The employee must be able to relate effectively with a wide variety of students and individuals in the College community.  The College expects this individual to accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner and to strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Additionally, this individual must understand the comprehensive role of the community college and cooperate and work harmoniously with college personnel and the public. This individual will follow all college policies, rules, regulations and guidelines as they relate to this position.<h2>Position Duties</h2><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, coaching, sports administration or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 7 year(s).</li><li>Must know how to recruit, schedule, train, teach and report results of the sport coached.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to recruit and retain quality-level, competitive student athletes.</li><li>History of coaching success while maintaining discipline as well as supportive and professional relationships with players.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, administration and other members of the College community</li><li>Demonstrated integrity and ability to interact in a supportive manner with players while extracting optimum achievement.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational ability including experience with complex organizational procedures.</li></ul><h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Responsible for the preparation and training of the team, which includes providing supervision and leadership for both practices and competitive activities.</li><li>Organizes, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates practice sessions and related activities with proper attention to the player’s mental, emotional, social and physical well-being.</li><li>Recognizes and responds appropriately to the physical injury of any athlete and coordinates care of the athlete with the Athletic Trainer</li><li>Provides an example of competitive but sportsmanlike conduct.</li><li>Deals fairly and honestly with all persons concerned with the sport. Maintains strong supportive relationships with student athletes and their families.</li><li>Provides direction and assistance to student-athletes in achieving their academic, athletic, and personal goals.</li><li>Completes all paperwork required by the National Junior College Athletic Association, and SWAC including athletic eligibility reports and reports of team statistics.</li><li>Adheres to the NJCAA, SWAC and other relevant sports rules.
