PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Summer Service & Leadership Youth Development Professional plans, implements, and supervises programs that promote leadership skills, positive behavior, anti-bullying practices, cultural awareness, and community engagement. This role helps youth build confidence, empathy, and responsibility while supporting our priority outcome areas of Good Character & Citizenship, Healthy Lifestyles, and Academic Success.
Youth Development Professionals will work within a Boys & Girls Club serving up to 100 youth (ages 6–18) daily and will lead groups of 5–20 members at a time through engaging discussions, activities, and service-learning projects.

Additional Roles Include:
Program Facilitator: Creating and leading engaging and educational activities for club members.
Mentor: Building supportive and positive relationships with youth, serving as a role model and providing guidance.
Community Liaison: Developing partnerships with local organizations and businesses to enhance resources and opportunities for club members.
Youth Advocate: Empowering young people to become active and responsible citizens through advocacy and leadership development programs.
Behavior Manager: Implementing behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful club environment.
Program Coordinator: Planning and organizing various programs and activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of club members.
Supportive Counselor: Providing emotional support and guidance to youth facing personal challenges and crises.
Educational Supporter: Assisting club members with homework, tutoring, and educational enrichment activities to support their academic success.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Job Status:
Seasonal - 30–40 hours May 18th – August 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Range:
Starting at $15.25–$16.25 per hour, depending on experience

Candidates must have experience in the telecommunications, utility, wind energy or other construction industry that deals with fall protection safety.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.</li><li>Recommend appropriate control measures to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Conduct safety meetings and supply supervisors with material to conduct daily and weekly meetings with their crew.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations by managing and maintaining up-to-date DOT driver qualification files, records, and medical cards.</li><li>Conduct engaging new hire orientations, ensuring that all employees receive proper safety training, fleet training and are aware of safety policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Travel to sites and crew bases to provide training, advisement, and safety orientation.
