The Coordinated Air-Ground <span>Vehicle Maneuvering</span> team at BCDC is investigating air-ground cooperative autonomy to extend the <span>sensing capabilities</span> and leverage heterogeneous fleet resources. This research aids in the <span>understanding and</span> development of methods and technologies that advance future unmanned air, ground, and <span>maritime vehicle</span> systems operating in unstructured environments. The goal is to help facilitate <span>effective intelligent</span> vehicle interactions with service members to foster the trust essential to <span>forming efficient</span> teams. Successful, intelligent vehicles will increase unit capabilities, <span>situational awareness,</span> mobility, and speed of action. <h1><strong>SUMMARY</strong></h1>

<p>As a Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer specializing in trajectory and maneuver design at Firefly, you will design and optimize spacecraft trajectories and maneuver sequences for operational missions spanning LEO and cislunar space. In this role, you will develop targeting algorithms, create error budgets, and serve as a flight dynamics operator while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate mission designs into executable operations. This position combines advanced mission design with hands-on operational support while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.</p>

<h1><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h1>

<ul>
	<li>Optimize spacecraft trajectories to satisfy mission requirements while balancing delta-V budgets, mission duration, and payload constraints</li>
	<li>Design and maintain mission designs from the conceptual phase through the end of spacecraft mission operations</li>
	<li>Develop algorithms to target maneuvers that achieve spacecraft mission objectives</li>
	<li>Create maneuver error budgets and perform sensitivity analysis to assess robustness to execution uncertainties</li>
	<li>Formulate and analyze contingency maneuver plans and abort scenarios for off-nominal conditions</li>
	<li>Interface with cross-discipline teams to translate maneuver plans into executable command sequences and operational procedures</li>
	<li>Serve as a flight dynamics operator for spacecraft missions and perform maneuver reconstruction to improve spacecraft models</li>
	<li>Perform verification and validation of flight dynamics models and software using analytical solutions, benchmarks, flight data, and unit tests</li>
	<li>Author technical documentation and analysis reports that communicate flight dynamics concepts and results to diverse audiences</li>

<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p>

<p>As a Senior GNC Engineer specializing in controls and autonomy at Firefly, you will design and implement advanced control systems and autonomous flight software for operational launch vehicles. In this role, you will develop and tune attitude control software, support hardware-in-the-loop testing and system integration, and provide technical leadership while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This position combines advanced control theory, real-time embedded systems development, and hands-on flight operations support while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced operational environment.</p>

<h1><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h1>

<ul>
	<li>Design, analyze, and tune launch vehicle attitude control software to ensure stable flight from launch to orbit</li>
	<li>Implement control techniques for mission-critical flight phases using thrust vector control actuators, reaction control thrusters, and aerodynamic surfaces</li>
	<li>Develop control systems accounting for complex launch vehicle dynamics including aerodynamic effects, structural flex modes, propellant slosh, and control structure interaction</li>
	<li>Establish technical standards and validation methodologies for control system design, software development, and hardware-in-the-loop testing</li>
	<li>Conduct stability analysis, sensitivity studies, and performance optimization for control systems under nominal and off-nominal flight conditions</li>
	<li>Support hardware-in-the-loop test campaigns for integrated GNC systems including control algorithm validation, flight software verification, and system-level performance testing</li>
	<li>Drive resolution of complex GNC challenges requiring deep technical expertise and rapid problem-solving</li>
	<li>Provide technical direction on system architecture and serve as subject matter expert for launch vehicle control</li>
	<li>Mentor junior engineers in control theory and flight software development</li>
	<li>Author technical documentation and analysis reports that communicate GNC concepts and results to diverse audiences</li>

<p class="MsoNormal">Spheros Environmental is seeking a <strong>Staff Hydrogeologist / Engineer II - III</strong> to join our growing team of hydrogeologists and engineers working to develop and manage groundwater supplies within Texas and Oklahoma. The position will primarily focus on quantitative analysis and numerical modeling of groundwater, but will also include opportunities for well design, siting, and oversight and field investigations associated with groundwater level and quality monitoring.</p>

Develop or assist in developing conceptual and numerical groundwater models. Write codes or use software tools to analyze the outputs of groundwater models. Prepare or assist in the preparation of reports and technical presentations to communicate findings to clients.</li><li class="MsoNormal"><strong>Sampling & Analysis:</strong> Coordinate field sampling, ensure the safe collection of groundwater, surface water, and soil samples, and collaborate with laboratories. Collect pump test data and evaluate using analytical methods and software. Review geophysical logs and other geological data to assist with well design.</li><li class="MsoNormal"><strong>Field Project Support:</strong> Oversee drilling contractors, manage project deadlines, and prepare regular status updates. Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with company Health and Safety Plans.
