Tasking will require the candidate to:&middot; Perform technical development of software products to include requirements, design and coding, testing, and documentation.&middot; Provide technical support as part of the COMET GSE (Ground Support Equipment) sub-systems development teams. Perform integration across the COMET GSE sub-system teams to assure continuity of the software products.&middot; Serve as part of the team responsible for technical integration between the GSE Subsystems and the NASA customer.&middot; Develop and/or evaluate work instruction packages; support of internal and project level reviews, working groups, vendor technical interchange meetings, peer reviews, code walk-throughs, and other project deliverables associated with the software delivery life cycle.&middot; Perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;Qualifications&nbsp;BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering/science field from an ABET accredited institution and 10 years related experience.&middot; Experience with Linux or Unix and one or more of the following: C, C++, JAVA, Python is required.&middot; Experience with Agile or other similar software methodologies is desirable.&nbsp;&middot; Experience with the full life cycle of software processes (design, development, and delivery) for safety critical software is desirable.&middot; Knowledge of software testing and test analysis (regression, timing, failure, etc.) and the configuration, build, and delivery authorization processes of software development/delivery is desirable&middot; Must be a self-motivated, team player comfortable with working in a dynamic environmentPhysical Requirements&nbsp;This position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, walking, and climbing stairs.Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, may be required to access various locations on the facility.&nbsp;All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards.&nbsp;Attendance&nbsp;Full-time work hours. Overview
Shoot Straight is looking for a Web Developer to support and improve our software systems and business processes. This is a varied role combining software development with operational and administrative responsibilities. Software development is a core component to this position, though role responsibilities may shift based on the needs of the business and seasonal demands. This role is full-time and onsite.

What You’ll Do:
Web and Software Development:
● Develop, maintain, and improve e-commerce websites and business applications
● Build and modify web pages using CMS platforms and web technologies
● Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes
● Troubleshoot and debug issues across various applications and tech stacks
E-Commerce and Operational Support
● Create and manage product listings across multiple sales channels
● Update website content, sales and promotions, and inventory data
● Assist with administrative processes and customer support

Who You Are:
Candidates should have excellent problem solving skills and a willingness to explore new, creative ideas. A great applicant will have high personal initiative, attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the willingness to work on multiple different projects at once.

Required Qualifications:
● Hands-on experience (academic or professional) developing software applications
● Working knowledge of:
     ○ Web hosting and DNS
     ○ Client-server communication protocols
     ○ Modern web application architecture (front-end, back-end, APIs)
     ○ Version control with Git
● Basic proficiency with Linux and command line usage
● Programming experience with any/all of the following or similar:
     ○ Compiled languages (C#, Go)
     ○ JavaScript frameworks (React, Svelte, Angular)
     ○ Scripting languages (PHP, Python)

Preferred Qualifications:
● Knowledge of or interest in firearms or the firearms industry
● Familiarity with business operations and process improvement strategies
● Experience managing relational DBMSs such as MySQL/MariaDB
● Experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment strategies
● Experience with or willingness to learn:
     ○ Modern e-commerce systems (BigCommerce, Shopify and WooCommerce)
     ○ Best practices in UI/UX, security, responsive design, and software development
     ○ Best practices in search engine optimization
