Role :
Your initial mandate will require a skillset enabling you to develop test software in Windows, using Python, for the test of various satellite payloads. 
 
Tasks :
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Creating\Modifying software applications for an EGSE targeting satellite payloads</li>
<li>Read and understand detailed requirement documents</li>
<li>Planning work, providing effort estimates and driving your work to completion</li>
<li>Designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting high-quality software development applications</li>
<li>Work in an agile development team using best practices</li>
<li>Write and modify Python applications</li>
<li>Preparing documentation and participating in reviews</li>
<li>Participating in integration, testing and deployment of software applications</li>
<li>Assisting in troubleshooting problems in a software production environment</li>
<li>Understand the system under test</li>
</ul>
 
Required Qualifications :
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>A University degree in Software/Computer Engineering or other relevant disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of test software development experience</li>
<li>Ability to work with an existing code base\framework</li>
<li>Familiar with multithreading, data sharing, and APIs</li>
<li>Knowledge of Python and C++</li>
<li>The ability to understand and work with complex software requirement specifications</li>
<li>Experience with agile software development</li>
<li>Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French (Contact with customers outside Quebec and head office managers in Ontario).</li>
</ul>
 
 Preferred Qualifications :
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>Exposure to DO-178 standards</li>
<li>Experience with instrument control, automated system functional testing</li>
<li>Knowledge of CCSDS, MIL-STD-1553</li>
<li>Knowledge of protocols such as CAN bus and SpaceWire</li>
<li>Experience with JIRA and Confluence</li>
<li>Experience with GIT and Jenkins</li>
</ul>
