<h2><strong>About This Role</strong></h2>
<p>The primary purpose of this position is to provide data warehouse and data analytics development in support of K-State’s strategic efforts, including enrollment management, online learning, accreditation and compliance, and other emergent areas of need. This position will also assist in the design, development and implementation of dimensional models, or other data structures as needed for the enterprise data warehouse (EDW). This is an exciting time to join our team. The position provides capacity to strengthen the user service capacity for BI tool/dashboards, data requests, as well as some external surveys.</p>
<h2><strong>Worksite Description</strong></h2>
<p>This position is <strong>Hybrid eligible</strong>. This role is expected to work on-site approximately three (3) days a week.</p>
<p>All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.</p>
<h2><strong>What You'll Need to Succeed</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and seven years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of SQL</li>
<li>Knowledge of databases, data mining, and/or data warehousing systems</li>
<li>Knowledge of database modeling techniques such as star schema, snowflake schema, 3NF, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with users across campus, translate business requirements and carry out the full cycle of BI development</li>
<li>Excellent organization and project management skills with attention to detail</li>
<li>Experience with Snowflake or other cloud based data warehouse environment</li>
<li>Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI/Dashboard creation tools</li>
<li>Experience in higher education setting</li>
<li>Data retrieval and analytical skills</li>
<li>Experience with SAS, R, Python, or other data analysis tools</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Sponsorship eligibility:</strong></p>
<p>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship</p>

        <div data-bind="html: Job.Requirements"><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Requirements</strong></p><p>· Secret Security Clearance: active or eligibility to obtain and maintain</p><p>· Ability to operate in classified and unclassified environments, including NIPRNet systems</p><p>· Strong written and verbal communication skills for military and civilian interaction</p><p>· Willingness to travel up to 10% for in-person training and operational support</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, workflows, and operational contexts</p><p>· Team-oriented and capable of collaborating with diverse Army and contractor personnel</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>· Assist with dashboard configuration, updates, and reuse</p><p>· Support preparation of training materials and documentation</p><p>· Assist with data validation, quality checks, and sustainment artifacts</p><p>· Support analytics handoff and institutional adoption efforts</p><p>· Progressively develop Army Vantage skills over the period of performance</p><p>· Assist in preparation of training environments, datasets, and example dashboards</p><p>· Support logistics and execution of in-person and virtual training events</p><p>· Help develop and update training documentation, job aids, and reference materials</p><p>· Assist instructors during training sessions (e.g., troubleshooting, student support, setup/teardown)</p><p>· Perform data validation and quality checks on training datasets and dashboards</p><p>· Capture training feedback and assist in documenting lessons learned and AAR inputs</p><p>· Support reuse and sustainment of training materials and analytics products</p><p>· Progressively take on limited instructional roles, such as walkthroughs or demonstrations, as skills mature</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Bachelor’s degree (or progress toward degree) in technical, analytical, or quantitative field</p><p>· 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, labs, or academic projects)</p><p>· Foundational knowledge of Python or SQL</p><p>· Understanding of basic data analysis and visualization concepts</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and tools</p><p>· Strong attention to detail and documentation skills</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Exposure to analytics platforms, dashboards, or scripting tools</p><p>· Coursework in statistics, data science, or operations research</p><p>· Interest in operational analytics and decision support</p><p>· Prior military or government exposure (not required)</p></div>
