TCOM is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and evaluate software from concept through production stage, and make modifications as needed.
Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Research, write, develop, test, and evaluate software programs.</li>
<li>Work with teams to facilitate deployment related to software programs.</li>
<li>Determine purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhancement of existing software.</li>
<li>Create and update documentation for designs, and all phases of the project.</li>
<li>Work with external customers to troubleshoot and solve problems.</li>
<li>Coordinate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.</li>
<li>Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.</li>
<li>May provide or assist with training needs as it relates to new or existing software.</li>
<li>May assist with quote or request for quote process.</li>
<li>May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.</li>
<li>Trained in the use of one or more of C/C++, Java, Python is required.</li>
<li>Experience with Javascript, Vue, MVC, Go is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience using UNIX/Linux operating systems preferred.</li>
<li>Has extensive breadth and depth of knowledge in a field of specialization and working knowledge of other fields.</li>
<li>Work is stated in terms of objectives requiring planning and judgment.</li>
<li>Performs work of a diverse scope, where data requires evaluation of various factors.</li>
<li>Exercises independent judgment with broadly defined practices and policies in obtaining results.</li>
<li>Has critical project technical leadership responsibility; may plan or lead work assignments for lower-level engineers and technicians.</li>

Education & Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, in field related to specific position.</li>
<li>Advanced engineer with 8+ years of career experience, with bachelor’s degree in software engineering or 6+ years with master’s degree. Or experience in lieu of education. </li>

This role is responsible for defining and driving end to end architecture across cloud native systems, hybrid platforms, and emerging AI driven capabilities.
This is a highly influential technical leadership role focused on building scalable, secure, and modern systems while guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions, platform modernization, and adoption of best practices. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and security teams to align technical direction with business priorities.
