Senior Project Manager
As a member of the ANDRES Operations team, the Senior Project Manager leads complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing safety, quality, budget, and schedule. By collaborating closely with Project Teams, Superintendents, trade partners, and clients, the Senior Project Manager ensures projects are delivered efficiently, to specification, and with a focus on client satisfaction. This role supports ANDRES’ continued success in San Antonio and across Texas.
Project Leadership & Oversight
Responsible for the overall success of a complex project or multiple projects
Actively manage project expectations and ensure all processes are being followed
Provide overall responsibility for successful project completion, including punch list, to Owner satisfaction
Develop and maintain excellent Owner/Architect relationships to ensure client satisfaction
Provide a positive and safe work environment to promote employee growth and well-being
Safety & Compliance
Advocate safety as the number one priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with company and jobsite safety plans, policies, and all safety-related regulations
Estimating & Contract Management
Estimate conceptual, design development, and guaranteed maximum price (GMP)
Coordinate the bid process, including bid solicitation, analysis, and evaluation
Review and assist with owner contract exhibits
Value engineer projects to optimize cost and efficiency
Review and approve subcontractor cost estimates
Negotiate and prepare subcontracts and purchase orders
Scheduling & Coordination
Create and manage CPM schedules and review progress weekly with the superintendent
Ensure RFIs and submittals are answered and submitted in a timely manner aligned with the project schedule
Host weekly team meetings to coordinate workflow and collaboration
Actively facilitate and participate in VDC processes for planning and coordination of the project
Facilitate information sharing across teams and projects
Budget, Quality & Lean Practices
Responsible for project quality, budget, and schedule adherence
Process invoices and maintain accurate financial tracking
Manage quality control processes using Procore Inspection Tool and Provizual
Implement Lean Construction practices and seek continuous improvement and elimination of waste
Team Development & Knowledge Sharing
Train entry-level management personnel and develop Office Engineers (OE), Project Engineers (PE), Project Assistants (PA), and field staff
Share best practices and lessons learned with the project team and across the ANDRES Forum
Build strong working relationships with clients, designers, and trade partners
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Must walk the construction site frequently
- Able to operate within paperless networking environment
- Ability to physically navigate an active construction site, including uneven surfaces, floor openings, heights, and other typical jobsite hazards
