Job Description
Reports To: Dining Room Manager & ADM / Banquet and Event Manager.  

Role Purpose: Echo Lake Country Club is seeking motivated, professional, and service-oriented Food Runners and Bussers to join our team. This role ensures the seamless and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen to Members and guests while maintaining a clean and organized dining room. Food Runners and Bussers support the service team to provide an exceptional dining experience, delivering the highest level of hospitality. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

Food & Beverage Service: 
  • Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation. 
  • Ability to describe dishes to Members, including components, allergens, and preparation. 
  • Support servers by refilling water, delivering bread, drinks, and other items as needed. 
  • Assist with taking and serving food and beverage orders, including upselling when appropriate. 
  • Clear tables of dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly and reset as needed. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. 

Member Experience & Communication: 
  • Greet and welcome Members and guests warmly. 
  • Respond to immediate Member needs and relay feedback to management. 
  • Collaborate with servers, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth service. 
  • Team & Training Responsibilities 
  • Actively coach and guide new or support staff on proper procedures and service standards. 
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as requested. 
  • Cross-train in other roles (houseman, server) as opportunities arise. 

Event & Banquet Support:
  • Daily setup and breakdown of tables, dining areas, and banquet spaces. 
  • Support light service, food running, and bussing during events. 
  • Ensure proper service flow and member satisfaction during special events. 
  • Operational Duties 
  • Take inventory of silver, china, glassware, and other items as needed. 
  • Understand and follow POS procedures when required. 
  • Maintain professional appearance and readiness for all shifts. 
  • Clock in on time and adhere to scheduled breaks, adjusting for business needs. 

Long-Term Objectives: 
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining room and event spaces at all times. 
  • Develop strong relationships with Members to enhance their dining experiences. 
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current on industry standards, food knowledge, and service best practices. 
  • Support operational efficiency and accuracy in food delivery. 
  • Contribute to an elevated level of member satisfaction. 

Working Conditions: 
  • Regular work involves extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching. 
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 35 lbs. 
  • Must have flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Compensation & Benefits: 
  • Hourly Wage: $16–$18/hour.
