Job Description

Coordinator - InclusiveU (Syracuse University Campus)

New hires are eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus

Position Overview

This role takes place on the Syracuse University (SU) campus, supporting student mentors who provide services to students in the InclusiveU program. As a Coordinator you will organize and oversee Community Habilitation services by hiring and overseeing student mentors, schedule services, provide guidance, and make sure mentors are prepared to help InclusiveU students succeed in classes and campus life.  When there are scheduling gaps or additional support is needed, you’ll step in to provide services, which can include helping InclusiveU students navigate coursework, stay organized, participate in campus activities, and build social connections.  You’ll work closely with students, families, staff, and campus partners to create meaningful opportunities for people to build skills, connect socially, and be part of campus life.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a visible, approachable support on the SU campus building relationships with students, staff, and community partners
  • Match student mentors with InclusiveU students and create schedules
  • Make sure everyone understands how services work, what to expect, and how to be successful
  • Write and update person-centered plans
  • Train and coach student mentors
  • Help people and families use services in ways that improve daily life
  • Stay connected with campus and community partners (like care coordinators and OPWDD) to keep services running smoothly
  • Handle documentation, billing, and payroll tasks accurately and on time
  • Listen for feedback, address concerns, and help improve the program experience
  • Step in to provide direct support when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field
  • Someone who is flexible, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication skills (clear, respectful, and person-centered)
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs and learning new systems
  • Ability to lift and assist as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicles
  • Willingness to travel locally
