Job Title: Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Specialist

Location: Illicit Gardens, Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday-Wednesday - 4:00pm-3:00am

Job Summary: The Organic IPM Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective integrated pest management program. This role involves monitoring and managing pest populations using organic and sustainable methods to ensure the health and productivity of our cannabis crops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pest and Disease Monitoring: Regularly scout and monitor crops for signs of pests and diseases. Identify and document pest populations and damage.
  • Application of Controls: Apply organic pest control measures as needed, following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of pest monitoring, control measures, and pesticide applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the cultivation team to ensure IPM practices are integrated into daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of pest biology, organic pest control methods, and sustainable agriculture practices.
  • Skills: Excellent observational and analytical skills. Ability to identify pests and diseases accurately. Proficiency in record-keeping and data analysis.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
