Were looking for a Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Group in Lenexa, Kansas. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who has successfully managed traffic-related projects, including design and analysis, and is passionate about mentoring others and contributing to regional growth.

What You'll Do

As a Traffic Engineer, you'll:

  • Act as Project Manager or Lead Designer for DOT, municipal, or traffic projects.
  • Leverage relationships to support regional growth and cross-sell GBA services.
  • Market traffic engineering services and support transportation business development.
  • Train and mentor staff in traffic engineering services including studies, design, and operational analysis.
  • Supervise and direct EITs, PEs, and CADD Technicians on traffic-related projects.
  • Coordinate with traffic engineers across all GBA Transportation offices.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure in Kansas, Missouri, or Illinois.
  • 8+ years of experience in project design, plan development, and traffic analysis.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Mastery of CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD) and SignCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Synchro, VISSIM, and other traffic software.
  • Strong technical knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead traffic engineering staff.
  • PTOE certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
