About the role



We are seeking a commercially focused and collaborative Travel Trade Coordinator to develop and deliver a high-quality groups and travel trade offer. The role involves driving income generation, managing partnerships, and ensuring excellent visitor experiences aligned with organisational standards.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part time 22.5 hrs per week spread across 5 shorter working days with up to 2 days per week working from home. This will be for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £16.92 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project plans, making necessary adjustments and tracking progress.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders, selecting appropriate methods, to gather project requirements and proactively provide updates.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project budgets and reports, monitoring expenditure and ensuring adherence to best practice and university financial guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including accurately capturing actions, project plans and reports ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Draft copy for website and booklets to help promote offer, and suggest improvements to procedures.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience organising project activities.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, including audiences.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own tasks and to work effectively to deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to ensure adherence to established processes and procedures in documentation and reporting.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
