- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) CHC provides an EAP to help non-PRN employees, their spouses and eligible children in coping with personal problems and stress. CHC will pay the cost of four counseling sessions per employee and eligible family members each calendar year. This is effective immediately upon employment. Employees may contact the EAP provider to directly schedule confidential appointments. The number of employees participating is the only information shared with CHC.
- Healthy Lifestyle Benefit- Employees who participate in CHC’s medical insurance are eligible for reimbursement of 50% of the cost up to $300 per calendar year for participating in the following: gym membership (single membership rates), weight loss counseling or education, organized exercise programs such as Zumba, Yoga or Pilates.
- 403B / Roth 403B- Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week are eligible to participate in CHC’s retirement plan following completion of their 90-day probationary period. Vesting is 100% upon enrollment. CHC will match at 25% the first $16,000 of the employee’s contribution annually.
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance- CHC provides one times the annual earning in AD&D insurance for staff with weekly scheduled hours of 32 or more as well as power weekend employees. This is effective the first day of employment.
- Life Insurance- Effective the first day of employment, CHC automatically provides life insurance equal to one time the employee’s annual salary or a minimum of $20,000 for power weekend employees and all staff with weekly scheduled hours of 32 or more.

- Annual anniversary/retention bonus - Upon completion of each year of employment, CHC will give $100 per year with a maximum of $1,000

- Fiscal Management:
- Responsible for all planning, development, and administration of finance, accounting, budgeting, audit, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management
- Coordinate the development and review of all procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services via policies, procedures, manuals, and internal accounting integrity systems within the Finance Department.
- Acts as a centralized, corporate-wide resource person for information related to the Finance, Accounting, and Billing departments, along with their accompanying federal and state rules and regulations for both hospice and home health care.
- Assures that financial policies and procedures are in full compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Appraises the corporation’s financial position and prepares financial reports and analysis according to schedule and deadlines for the President/CEO
- Provides supervision and oversight for assigned staff operating within the Finance Department, and monitors all recording documentation, reporting documentation, and related maintenance activities.
- Ensures all necessary reports, surveys, and audits are accurate and completed within required time frames.
- Responsible for all aspects of fiscal management for Global Partners in Care
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Responsible for the preparation, recording and maintenance of all general ledger information.
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepares pertinent financial reports as directed.
- Supervises all cash receipts
- Supervises all cash disbursements.
- Works with Hospice Foundation staff to reconcile and record donated funds.
- Provides information to external auditors as directed by Agency management.
- Works with third-party billers to obtain timely and accurate reporting related to Palliative Care
Administrative Duties:
- Organizes and maintains accurate filing systems.
- Initiates and answers pertinent correspondence.
- Performs other administrative functions as directed.
- Assists in the maintenance of General Ledger software.
- Supervision of the Accounts Payable Department.
- Assists and supports the payroll functions of the corporation.
- Prepares and disseminates statistical reports and analysis
- Responsible for agency’s various Medicare, Medicaid, and any other required provider filings
- Responsible for agency’s various federal, state, and local fiscal and corporate filings
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field required.
· Minimum of five years accounting experience, including supervision.
· Finance or administrative experience in hospice or other health care preferred.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
· Previous experience with electronic accounting software and systems, electronic spreadsheets, and a general working knowledge of Windows based computer systems; including Excel.
· CPA preferred.
