Under limited supervision, the Assembler 2 is responsible for assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components and subassemblies using standard processes, tools, and documentation. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure product quality, as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. The Assembler 2 may also provide guidance to less experienced assemblers.
What you will do:
- Assemble components or subassemblies following engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete work.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize mechanical assistance for materials exceeding 30 lbs (e.g., dolly, pallet jack, forklift).
- Interpret decimal charts and apply basic math, fractions, and decimals in daily work.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and report any non-conformances.
- Perform inspections during and after assembly to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and suggest process improvements when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What sets you apart:
- Mechanically inclined with demonstrated understanding of tooling, cutting tools, and machine parts.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and assembly documentation.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) years of related manufacturing or assembly experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math proficiency and ability to interpret decimal and fraction values.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with hands-on responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer literacy required.

Physical Requirements:
Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in office setting.
Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.
Vision: Visual acuity Eyesight 20/25 with or without correction. Will be required to take and pass a color blindness test for visual inspections. Work on computer for long periods of time.
Other: May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and looking at a computer screen for long periods at a time.
