Under limited supervision, the Assembler 2 is responsible for assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components and subassemblies using standard processes, tools, and documentation. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure product quality, as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. The Assembler 2 may also provide guidance to less experienced assemblers. 

What you will do: 

• Assemble components or subassemblies following engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. 

• Use various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete work. 

• Follow all safety procedures and utilize mechanical assistance for materials exceeding 30 lbs (e.g., dolly, pallet jack, forklift). 

• Interpret decimal charts and apply basic math, fractions, and decimals in daily work. 

• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and report any non-conformances. 

• Perform inspections during and after assembly to ensure quality standards are met. 

• Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices. 

• Support continuous improvement efforts and suggest process improvements when applicable. 

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Mechanically inclined with demonstrated understanding of tooling, cutting tools, and machine parts. 

• Proficient computer skills, including experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. 

• Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and assembly documentation.

• Effective communicator and team player who can work independently and with minimal supervision. 

• Reliable and safety-conscious with a focus on productivity and efficiency. 

Qualifications: 

• High School diploma or equivalent required. 

• Minimum three (3) years of related manufacturing or assembly experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Basic math proficiency and ability to interpret decimal and fraction values. 

• Comfortable working in a production environment with hands-on responsibilities. 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer literacy required. 

Competencies: 

Physical Requirements:  

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in office setting. 

Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor. 

Vision: Visual acuity Eyesight 20/25 with or without correction. Will be required to take and pass a color blindness test for visual inspections. Work on computer for long periods of time.  

Other: May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and looking at a computer screen for long periods at a time.
