We are looking for a Commercial Market Analyst based in the UK who will be responsible for the Pricing and commercial market analysis function to support a key strategic airline customer.
As a self-motivated individual, you will identify areas of opportunity for improvement, both technically and strategically, recommending remedies and a path for implementation, all with a key focus within a highly analytical revenue focused department. You'll develop new fact-based analysis and insight-driven guidance to assist in the evaluation of commercial pricing & market strategic initiatives for short and long-term planning needs.
Job requirements
- Ability to build positive and credible relationships with agency customers at all levels
- Must have a high level of numerical ability
- Extensive job-related experience required
- Familiar in use of airline pricing logic and pricing systems and terminology (SITA, SABRE, ATPCO, GFS, AirPrice, PLP, InFare, QL2)
- Understanding of the core concepts driving the airline economics and industry business rationale
- Strong leadership skills and third-party management skills i.e., managing steering other airlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- GDS knowledge along with Market share analytical experience.
- Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
- Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and can be flexible when needed.
Job responsibilities
- Deliver excellent service to travel trade base supporting account management team with effective pricing products.
- Ensure regular communication and strategic focus is in place – identifying customers ‘needs & wants’ and delivering against these with solutions tailored to each individual customer whilst supporting customer’s overarching commercial goals.
- Internally working closely alongside other sales execs and account managers, sharing best practice where appropriate - communicating effectively is key to success within the role.
- A strong relationship is essential with our customers HQ, ensuring the AM is fully embedded within this organisation – travel essential around Europe when needed to support clients’ requirements.
