SUMMARY

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for repairing damaged vehicle body parts in accordance with company specifications, processes, and time standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examine and evaluate damaged vehicles to plan efficient, standards-based repairs.

  • Communicate repair status with management and team members through all phases.

  • Notify management of issues that may affect quality or promised completion/delivery time.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order; operate all tools safely.

  • Keep work area organized, clean, and free of safety hazards.

  • Wear and maintain all required PPE (including eye protection).

  • Cooperate with teammates on repair and prep work as needed, based on schedule and expertise.

  • Stay current with and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid knowledge of collision repair processes, techniques, and materials; 1�3 years of experience in the collision repair arena.

  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle structure and the ability to remove and replace damaged components.

  • Strength to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and over 70 lbs occasionally.

  • Agility, equilibrium, and coordination for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing in all conditions.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment with strong attention to detail.

LICENSE / CERTIFICATION (Preferred)

  • Valid Driver�s License (Required)

  • I-CAR and ASE Certification
