Job Description
Summary:
Be able to accurately describe all Goddess food and beverages, take customer orders using the POS system and make beverages by following correct recipes and procedures
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understands the GAB mission statement and can execute
• Welcomes guests using the 10–4 rule
• Adheres to dress code standards
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
• Prepares and sells beverages by following prescribed recipes, preparation techniques and standards
• Notifies lead barista of low inventory
• Fully stocks and maintains products using FIFO to ensure product freshness
• Follows and improves opening, closing, and other procedural checklists
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions
• Recognizes, acknowledges, and communicates errors and potential quality problems
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Explores
opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Although not required, it is highly encouraged to attend coffee events outside work. An interest in competing at
industry events on behalf of Goddess is desirable.
• Knowledge of FOH menus: bar, food, bakery
• Knows how to work all FOH stations
• Is flexible in scheduling in FOH
• Helps out in FOH, if needed

Required Skills and Education:
• Passionate for great coffee, food, and great customer service!
• Must be able to multitask
• Must be able to create latte art within the training period
• Must be able to work standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to dial- in espresso as needed
• Has basic knife skills to prep garnishes
• At least 1 year of experience in specialty coffee is ideal
• Valid Food Handlers Certification
