About the role



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Scientist to join our team, focusing on the development of novel therapeutic strategies for rare genetic disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful, cutting-edge research in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research into innovative therapeutic approaches for rare genetic conditions
  • Design and perform laboratory-based experiments using cell culture models and molecular biology techniques
  • Analyse experimental data, test hypotheses, and refine research strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with internal teams and international research partners
  • Support general laboratory operations, including stock control and administrative tasks

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Biotechnology)
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques (such as PCR and Western blotting)
  • A strong understanding of genetics
  • Familiarity with genetic databases and tools (e.g. Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser)
